Vision

We are a community who learn and grow together.

Vision description

Waterloo School is a place where there is a partnership between the school and the community to inspire children to learn, grow and develop.

This involves:

  • Staff who are skilled, enthusiastic and part of a collaborative learning/teaching team.
  • A Board of Trustees which creates a positive, well-resourced learning environment for staff and students.
  • Students who are encouraged to become curious, creative and confident learners, and who take responsibility for their learning, and make the most of a broad range of opportunities.

Charter

Waterloo School is a self-reviewing school delivering high quality education to its students, involving them in many opportunities to develop themselves in music, sport and cultural groups.

We are developing a future focused, personalised approach in the classroom allowing students to take control of their own learning. Each student is unique and learns in different ways.

We are not just developing students to be achieving, but also teaching higher level thinking skills and developing key competencies using technology to prepare students for the 21st century.
