Waterloo has a leadership and management team comprising; The Principal, two Deputy Principals, and six team leaders one at each year level (Y1 – Y6) of the school.
The school development areas are set out in the strategic and annual plans.
The leadership team is responsible for leading and supporting the development of the goals and objectives set out in the plans.
The team ensures that the smooth running and organizational features of the school foster student learning.
Welcome to the Junior School. Our children are in Year 0/New Entrant, Year 1 or Year 2 and range in age from five to seven.
The major learning areas in the Junior School are Literacy and Numeracy. The classrooms are bright and colourful, packed with children's work and enriched with print.
We love to celebrate our children, their achievements and the learning they do. You are welcome to come and visit our classes or come to our Junior Hui.
Support and Specialist Staff
Our enthusiastic and dedicated Support Staff fill numerous roles at school; from first impressions in the front office to administration, finance, ORS, ICT, our Library Manager who lovingly cares for the library and our amazing Teacher Aides who provide learning support for our students.
By operating as mini-teams we cater for the subtle differences in the learning needs for each year group, thereby providing a smooth transition from the Juniors and to the Seniors. We will still, however, work as a whole syndicate, fostering unity by doing lots of things together.
We will be working towards the children developing a greater degree of independence, taking responsibility for their own routines, behaviour and belongings and ultimately their learning. We will also encourage them to participate in some of the many extra activities offered at school.

The team in the Senior Syndicate is committed to supporting our school vision by encouraging our students to grow and learn together, to be self-motivated and actively involved at a class, school, local, national and global level.
We aim to nurture our students’ ability to think critically and creatively, connect with, and communicate their understanding of the world using a wide variety of media, and develop self-awareness and a sense of responsibility and independence.
We want them to be able to relate positively to others and learn that differences between us not only enrich our lives, but help us to better understand ourselves and the rapidly changing world in which we live.
