We are a ‘future focused’ school and we strive to promote an aspirational culture with a belief in holistic education (body, mind and spirit) with an overarching desire to provide ongoing development promoting growth mind-sets in all our staff and students.  We believe in ‘Learner-Centred Classrooms’ and ‘Personalised Learning’ so sustained higher achievement is possible. We wish to enable students to take charge of their own learning and thus the concept of ‘Learner Agency’ is central to our pedagogy. We promote ‘inquiry as a disposition’ and have a school curriculum that values questions above answers, creativity above fact regurgitation, individuality above uniformity and excellence above standardized performance.

As Sir Paul Callaghan said,

“You don’t need to teach a child curiosity. Curiosity is innate. You just have to be careful not to squash it. This is the challenge for the teacher—to foster and guide that curiosity.”
